Buenos Aires, December 31 (NA) — Over seven thousand Edesur users have reported power outages in areas of the Federal Capital and the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area on New Year's Eve due to a 'fault at the Bosques Substation'. It is expected that the full service will be restored throughout the day. During the early morning, almost a million people were affected. 'A fault at the Bosques Substation caused an outage affecting several substations in the Federal Capital and the Metropolitan Area. Our technical teams are already working in the area. Supply will be restored in stages,' the company's statement, accessed by the Argentine News Agency, informs. However, at around 08:00, the outage was still extensive with 7,823 users without electricity. This power outage occurs amid New Year's preparations and adds to the 40-degree heat expected for the day. It was also reported that at around 01:30, a record was set for power outages, with nearly a million users affected.
